Rise of responsible intelligence: Shaping a world where AI and ethics coexist

In an exclusive article published in Hindustan Times, Rakesh Prasad, Senior Vice President – Strategy and Solutions at Innover, sheds light on the need for businesses to take a proactive approach to ethical AI development and deployment. He further asserts that establishing clear guidelines and regulations that prioritize accountability and ethical practices is essential for fostering a responsible AI ecosystem.

Artificial intelligence systems are only as true as the data they are trained on, and unfortunately, this data is often inherently biased. Data bias can amplify societal biases and discrimination, particularly regarding race, gender, and socioeconomic status, thereby compromising the integrity of the data used for business decision-making. This can occur when the data used to train an AI model is unrepresentative of the population it is intended to serve, or when the data contains implicit biases and stereotypes that are reflected in the model’s predictions, Rakesh adds.
